Rules:
1. Use lined paper.
2. Writing period is two hours.
3. Mark times on top of your paper when you begin and when you end.
4. No reference materials except a dictionary are permissible.
5. Previously written works are not accepted.
6. Legibility is required for evaluation.
7. Poem may be lyric, sonnet, narrative, etc.
8. You may write this poem in free verse or meter.
9. Poem must be titled.
10. Please include your name and the name of your school on your submission.
Write a poem of at least twelve lines on the following:
“Time”
Note: This is your topic; it does not necessarily need to be the title of your poem.
Procedure
1. Using your own sheet of paper, brainstorm and outline if needed.
2`.When you are ready, complete the essay on its own clean sheet of paper.
3. Scan your notes/outline AND the final composition into a PDF file and email it to Kim Wiebe at kimwiebe@wvcea.org.
