Poetry

Rules:
Writing period is two hours.
No reference materials except a dictionary are permissible.
Previously written works are not accepted.
Poem may be lyric, sonnet, narrative, etc. You may write this poem in free verse or meter.
There is no maximum length, but at minimum, it should contain at least twelve (12) lines.
It should be titled.
The topic does not necessarily need to be the title of your poem

Topic:
"Holiday Memories"

Procedure:
1. Using your own sheet of paper, brainstorm and outline if needed.

2`.When you are ready, complete the poem on its own clean sheet of paper.

3. Scan your notes/outline AND the final composition into a PDF file and email it to Kim Wiebe at kimwiebe@wvcea.org.
